CASTING · CONTRIBUTORS · COSTA DEL SOL
REAL PEOPLE.
REAL GOBS.
The Costa del Sol is the most castable coastline in Europe — fifty thousand Brits, each with a backstory, a bar tab and an opinion. Finding them is easy. Finding the ones who carry a series, say yes on camera and turn up sober? That's craft, and twenty years of UK development telly is how we learned it.
STREET CASTING
✨ Characters, Not Caricatures
We cast from real life — the bars, the markets, the urbanisations. People with warmth, chaos and a story arc they don't know they're carrying. The archetypes are real because we've been having coffee with them for twelve years.
DOCUMENTARY
✨ Contributors Who Actually Talk
Sensitive stories, hard access, people who've said no to everyone else. We approach like humans, in the right language, over the right drink — and we protect contributors like the reputation depends on it. Because it does.
THE PACKAGE
✨ Taped, Released, Ready
Casting tapes shot properly, release forms signed properly, availability confirmed properly. What lands on your desk is decision-ready — not a folder of maybes.
THE DIFFERENCE
💡 A Development Eye On Every Face
Anyone can find a loud person in a bar here — honestly, try NOT to. We find the ones a commissioner falls for, because commissioner taste is what twenty years of format development beats into you.
THE PITCH
✨ CASTING AGENCIES HAVE DATABASES 💾 WE HAVE A LOCAL 🍺
The best characters on this coast aren't on any casting site. They're on our WhatsApp. Creative director and fixer — the combination that finds them AND knows what to do with them.
WHATSAPP ABOUT CASTINGFIELD NOTES 📓
✨ CHARACTERS WE'VE MET THIS MONTH.
- 👑 A woman who ran a nightclub in 1987 — has photos, enemies, and a monologue about each. Series two sorts itself.
- ⛳ A retired villain turned golf bore — the twist writes itself and so, worryingly, does he. He's got a manuscript.
- 🦜 A parrot that swears in two languages — technically not castable. Emotionally, the lead.
- 🍷 A couple who've "had the bar six months" — for nine years. Time works differently here. So does jeopardy.
