01 · Texture & history
🇪 Marbella Old Town
Whitewashed lanes, balconies, tiled details, tiny squares and Plaza de los Naranjos. Strong for travel, food, history, contributor walks and warm European actuality that does not scream resort brochure.
Production note: narrow access, residents, deliveries, restaurant terraces, bells and footfall. An early start buys cleaner frames and cooler crew.
02 · Luxury & scale
✨ The Golden Mile
Hotels, landscaped entrances, private estates, palm-lined roads and polished hospitality. Useful for premium factual, property, celebrity, lifestyle, branded content and beautifully expensive establishing shots.
Production note: much of the useful access is private. Owners, hotels, communities, security, guest privacy and vehicle movements need proper coordination.
03 · Money with masts
✨ Puerto Banús
Superyachts, boutiques, cars, waterfront restaurants and instant visual shorthand for wealth. Excellent for glossy entertainment—and equally useful when the editorial wants to examine the performance of luxury.
Production note: port areas mix public movement, private businesses, security and commercial sensitivities. Sound is lively; logos breed when nobody is looking.
04 · Light & movement
📍 Beaches and promenades
Sea horizons, chiringuitos, runners, families, winter sun and long moving shots. Different stretches offer polished resort, local neighbourhood, open sand or busier social energy.
Production note: season, wind, tides, public privacy, beach services and municipal activity matter. Noon is bright. Very bright. Sunglasses may file an exposure complaint.
05 · Space & control
📍 Villas and private estates
Interviews, constructed reality, property formats, drama recon, branded films and controllable lifestyle worlds. Modern minimalism, Mediterranean traditional and magnificently unnecessary staircases are all available.
Production note: check parking, neighbours, sound, power, floor protection, working hours, security and whether the owner has mistaken a crew of 25 for “two people with a camera.”
06 · Local life
✨ San Pedro de Alcántara
Neighbourhood streets, markets, cafés, boulevards and beachside life with a more grounded tone. Useful when the story needs the place people actually live—not only the place visitors photograph.
Production note: markets and community areas reward local relationships. Build around trading hours, school traffic, deliveries and the people whose real day is your background.
07 · Wild-looking, nearby
✨ Sierra Blanca foothills
Rock, scrub, tracks and huge views above the coast. Strong for adventure, fitness, natural history, true-crime reconstruction, travel and the useful illusion that civilisation is much farther away.
Production note: access, terrain, heat, fire risk, protected land, signal, medical response and parking must be checked. “Only ten minutes uphill” is often spoken by someone without a tripod.
08 · Heritage details
✨ Roman and historic sites
Sites around the municipality—including Río Verde and Las Bóvedas—can add archaeological depth and a completely different visual register to the resort story.
Production note: heritage access is sensitive. Crew size, equipment, touch points, public opening and the relevant cultural authority need early discussion. The Romans left no convenient unit base.
